![]() If I open the start menu on say my work virtual dekstop, I don't get thrown back to my home virtual desktop (which happens constantly with Dexpot) if I open a program on say my home virtual desktop, I'm not thrown on to my work virtual desktop. If I'm working on one, nothing on the others interferes unless I go on that desktop.Īctually, that's really all I want - everything else is under this umbrella. The thinking is that if you have a single, large screen, you would only use it as a single desktop, and size/move your windows to match. It's really maddening that I can't seem to find a program to do simple things (or maybe these things are just too complicated and there IS no program that actually works like this):ġ. We find multiple displays useful for being different desktops, yet the initial reason for that is we couldnt get screens that were large, so we needed to string them together. I've only had one issue with DisplayFusion, which was quickly solved, but it also makes me wonder if DisplayFusion has a virtual desktop program or someone is using a VDP that actually works with both DF and W10. DisplayFusion can give you that same experience in a simpler way compared to Fences. If you want to create a virtual container for your desktop icons just like how it is on Fences. I'm also on Windows 10, which is probably the entire reason why none of these are working properly. DisplayFusion offers a wide range of features like multi-monitor support, custom hotkeys, and desktop icon management. ![]() ![]() I'm currently using Dexpot which is buggy at the best of times, horrible at the worse of times and I've tried Actual Tools and sufficient to say, neither of these (or the others I've tried) seem to work the way I want them to. ![]() I've been having such a difficult time using virtual desktops that I'm starting to think it's better to just have two computers.
